Another Beachbody review from a non-Beachbody coach! I’m a little early on the new P90 review, I know, but I wanted to share with you how excited I am at the re-imagining of the P90 program by Tony Horton that is due to hit the streets very, very soon.
The P90X series (P90X, P90X2 and P90X3) are some of the most popular workout programs in existence. Scores of people have tried them and seen absolutely wonderful results. But…what about the rest of us? The ones who really aren’t hardcore fitness geeks? The ones with limited equipment – or none at all? What about the ones who are absolutely new to personal fitness and for whom the idea of a single chin-up seems impossible?
That’s who P90 is for. Many years ago I got my hands on a copy of the original original P90 workout program. After doing lots of Jillian, bodyweight, and other Beachbody workouts, I was stunned at the simplicity and elegance of the original P90 workout. No threats, no fancy effects, just a young trainer named Tony Horton who encouraged people to do their best – no matter their fitness level.
Beachbody is now poised to release a new, improved version of the P90 program. And I can’t wait.
Here’s a short video explaining what the program is all about:

Why I think the Beachbody New P90 is a timely program
I have had a nagging feeling about a lot of programs lately; it seems that programs and workouts are all about getting more and more extreme. The 21-Day Fix is all about getting crazy results in three weeks, Insanity is, well, insane, and it seems that if you’re not killing it in your workout that you’re not working hard enough.
That’s why I love P90. It strips fitness back to the basics. Moving. Turning. Pushing. Pulling. Feeling good about your workout. Feeling good about your achievements. Discovering your limits and pushing just a little bit more. All without being crazy, over the top, or in-your-face.
If you want to be notified when the new P90 program is available, sign up below. I’m not a Beachbody coach, so I won’t sell it to you. No worries there. You’re probably like me and get busy sometimes, so I’ll take on the task of watching for news on the program and I’ll let you know when it’s available. Plus you won’t have to sign up for a sales-pitch ridden Beachbody email to get the latest news on when it’s available and how to get it.
